We love hearing from our guests about their experiences, here are some of the great things which they have said about their visit to York’s Chocolate Story:
“Great for chocolate lovers. If you are a chocolate lover, then you will love this place. It goes through the history of chocolate within the city of York, and you get to try a couple of chocolates through the tour. The tour is a realy must when in York.”

“Chocolatey goodness! This is my fourth visit to this brilliant place with friends and it as good if not better than my first visit. Special mention must go to Chris our guide and Stev our chocolatier who was full of brilliant insights. I highly recommend you visit this place. Brilliant job!”

“Chocolate lover’s alert. A lovely small museum/interactive attraction. Based on a number of small rooms. Led through by a knowledgeable guide! Based just at the top of the Shambles. A few tasters received and had opportunity to make chocolate lollipop to take home. Fairly new attraction, enjoyable. ..cant wait to see how it develops over the coming years. Try the fondue in the café before leaving!”

“We didn’t plan on going here, but just popped in as we walked past.
I didn’t have any expectations as to what it was going to be like or what was included and I was very surprised as the quality of the content.
I didn’t know any of the historic links York had with chocolate making and this tour was very informative filling me in on the history in a fun and dynamic way.
It wasn’t information overload, a mixture of videos, pictures and real life demonstrations kept it fun and fresh. Plus lots of chocolate samples on the way!
My only reccommendation, more please of the old packaging and advertising of the products, I find this fasinating!”
