Can you find York’s Golden Chocolate Bar?

On Tuesday 27th October, York’s Chocolate Story is hiding 100 chocolate bars around York, with one lucky finder winning a year’s supply of chocolate.

To celebrate the opening of our newly refurbished shop and Hot Chocolate Bar, one lucky finder will win the ultimate chocolate prize: a year’s supply of chocolate, alongside a free Guided Tour of York’s Chocolate Story, whilst a variety of other exciting prizes are up for grabs.

The bars will hidden from 10am on Tuesday 27th October, with hiding places ranging from some of York’s best-known landmarks to lesser-known spots around the city.

Clues to some of the hiding places will be teased on our Instagram account, @yorkschocstory, while other bars will be waiting to be discovered by eagle-eyed explorers.

If you are in York on Tuesday 27th October, you can get involved by looking around the city centre for one of 100 chocolate bars wrapped in burgundy York's Chocolate Story branded packaging. Inside each wrapper is a voucher which will inform you if you've won alongside details as to how to claim your prize.

The Chocolate Hunt will start at 10am, with the 100 prizes available to find around York city centre from this time.

The 100 prizes will be located in a wide variety of locations around the city centre, from more prominent tourist sites to hidden gems around the city.

For details on the terms and conditions related to the prizes available to win as part of York's Chocolate Hunt on Tuesday 27th October, please see below:

  • 1 x year’s supply of chocolate, alongside a free Guided Tour of York’s Chocolate Story

 

This prize will be delivered in 12 monthly hampers including the below products:

  • 8 x 90g chocolate bars (various flavours)

  • 48 fresh chocolates

  • 2 x Terry's Chocolate Orange's 

  • 2 x Chocolate Tasters (containing 30 milk, white and dark chocolates each)

Please note this prize is only available to delivery in the UK. No additional products that aren't listed above will be available. 

  • 25 x free Hot Chocolate vouchers

 

The Hot Chocolate voucher can be redeemed in store by presenting the voucher at the Hot Chocolate Bar. It must be redeemed before 31st December, and is strictly one Hot Chocolate per voucher.

 

  • 25 x free Guided Tour vouchers

 

The free Guided Tour voucher can be redeemed in store by presenting the voucher at the till. It must be redeemed before 31st December, and gives the holder access to one free place on a Guided Tour per voucher. Please note that at busy periods when tours are at capacity, you may be asked to return at a later time/date.

 

  • 5 x York's Chocolate Story Teddy Bears

 

The York's Chocolate Story teddy bear voucher can be redeemed in store by presenting the voucher at the till. It must be redeemed before 31st December, and is strictly one York's Chocolate Story teddy bear per voucher.
