From 21st September to 21st October 2026, we’ll be undergoing an exciting ground floor refurbishment, including our shop and café areas, as part of our rebranding project.

We’re investing in the next chapter of York’s Chocolate Story to create an even better experience for our visitors, and we can’t wait to share the results with you. Keep an eye out for updates as the transformation takes place!

Visiting us from 21st September to 21st October

Our Guided Tour and Tour & Truffle Rolling experiences will continue to run throughout the refurbishment, with no changes to the tour experience itself. You’ll still be able to enjoy the full experience, including all the chocolatey fun along the way. Please note that there will be a limited retail offering available during this time, and drinks will not be available to purchase.

To ensure we continue to provide a great experience for all our visitors, we’ll be running a reduced number of tours during this period. Pre-booking is therefore essential.

To maintain our high standards, our Gin and Rum Tours will not be running during the refurbishment. Any affected visitors will be contacted personally by a member of our team with the option to rebook or receive a full refund.

Accessibility

Accessibility will be limited at certain points during the refurbishment. This will include periods when access is via stairs only and when our accessible toilet facilities are unavailable.
