York’s chocolate story is a visitor attraction that offers a fascinating guided tour through the history of York’s most famous chocolate-making families and their finest creations.
Our daily opening hours are 10am – 5pm.
During peak periods and holidays, we occasionally extend our opening hours to accommodate the demand for additional tours. To check tour times for a specific date, please visit our booking page to see the time slots available.
If you’d like to indulge before your visit, visit our online shop where you can find a selection of our favourite chocolate bars.

- Please make us aware of any dietary requirements on arrival, or in advance where possible.
- Please note that the tour includes a video which contains a brief scene of ancient combat, therefore parental guidance for young children is recommended.
